The École St-Joachim School Committee will once again be working within La Broquerie and many surrounding communities to offer the Operation Red Nose safe ride service in our area. This service relies almost entirely on the kind support of sponsors, various donations and many dedicated volunteers. We hope that you will consider supporting our efforts through a monetary or in-kind sponsorship that will help us offer this service to the community and area once again this holiday season.    

Created in 1984, Operation Red Nose’s safe ride service is available during the month of December to more than 100 communities across Canada. A simple phone call initiates a team of volunteers to pick-up and drive a client safely to their destination in their own vehicle. Clients may choose to make a donation which will go towards supporting a local organization. In this case, all donations received will go to École Saint-Joachim to support education. It’s a decision that creates a win-win partnership for everyone involved, while improving the overall road safety during the holiday season!    

Thanks to the generosity of companies and individuals like you, we’ve been able to offer this service in our own communities, making our roads safer during the holiday season.  Operation Red Nose has been operating in this area since 2013 with the exception of the two year hiatus during the pandemic. To date, ORN has helped over 3,500 Manitobans arrive safely to their destination. We strive to make our community a safer place and educate all students and community members about the importance of safe driving and responsible consumption of alcohol and/or cannabis.           

All funds donated from clients during our 2023 campaign will be reinvested in our school community and benefit all students and families for years to come.
